Thoughts from Scooter:
Wow...this morning was a tough one. We had a hiccup and failed to prepare ourselves properly for our match and we could never recover. There was no teamwork, no passion and no competitiveness and we were beaten in three straight games by Ohio Valley. To their credit, Ohio played very well but we gave them 68 of their 75 points in the match due to our errors. That is a situation that is impossible to win. The good news is that we took 2nd in our pool and still move to the top 8. We begin a new pool of 4 tonight at 5:45. We will not know our opponent until we get there but we think that it will most likely be Delta. If it is not Delta it will be either Sun Country or Iowa.
After our match we came back to the hotel, ate lunch, took a nap and we just got done meeting as a team. We talked about our previous match VERY briefly and then moved on and talked about our upcoming match. All the girls have a much higher energy level now and so far look good to go. We will be leaving for the gym to watch our Select team at 3:45 and cheer them on prior to our match. We will update again tonight on that match.
Thoughts from Bailey and Nikki:
Hola! Our thoughts on the match today were that we could've done a lot better. Our team didn't have much energy this morning and we didn't play so well together. But i think that if we would've relaxed and shook off our mistakes than we would have done much better in the match than we planned.
